wow, it’s nearly the end of September, already…
that’s ok, i guess. time flies when you’re moving across the country and setting up house. ;)
things have gone fairly smoothly, getting settled in, here, in Ontario. i will miss BC in many ways, but it’s nice, all the same, to be back East.
in between all the travelling and organizing and packing/unpacking, i managed to finish a sock, from the last Vogue knitting, by Charlene Schurch [I have her Sensational Knitted Socks book, it's fab], the blue ones seen here. there are some goofies in the written pattern as well as the chart but once those are worked out, it’s quite an interesting knit. i am doing them up in Trekking, not sure of the colourway offhand, but it’s got golds and taupes and roses. one of these days i will snap a pic once i find a bit of time to set up a photo shoot.
have also been madly sanding, patching, painting walls, with wild abandon. :) much as i don’t really care for the prep work with painting, the artist in me really adores the transformative effects of colour in a room. i’m working my way, room by room, and expect that it will be completed sometime over the next 6 months or so, depending on how busy the fall season gets with shows, etc.
anyhoo, we are still on the planet. ;) next on the agenda once we are a little more set up around here, there will be more dyeing and, of course, knitting. :)
