gee, i should post a lil more often, sometimes.
seems like lots has gone on in the last few weeks, but still lots ongoing… typical, and frankly, i like it.
let’s see, in the last few weeks, what have i learned…
i learned that the Progressive Cons think it’s just dandy to go around boasting about supporting ‘every child in Canada’ by giving each child under 7 (if their parents sign up for it) $100 a month which is supposedly a big bonus for parents in terms of childcare funding. meanwhile, this benefit is replacing an existing benefit which may take up to $1800 per year away from children already receiving the current benefit… hmm. using children for warm fuzzy media moments is not, imo, a nice thing to do, especially when you’re double-speaking.
what else… oh, i learned that the CRA will take your refund lickety split (as in, they will take it in less than a week if you Netfile) if you owe them anything at all. remarkable since i’ve always been told it takes months for their systems to be updated with new information between departments…
and MrBear and i cleared three years together and celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary with a dinner out (the one time of year when we do so sans children). :)
oh, and get this:

10 points if you know what these pieces of wood are going to turn into…
it was gifted. sometimes good things come in BIG packages. :)
i know, Moo, you can slap me silly. ;)
oh, and i learned that the NHL really has favourites, even the unbiased referees… too bad, takes the fun out of watching. oh well. soon, it will be down to baseball, which means a much quieter house. ;)
and, i learned that no matter how old my children are i am still going get all teary when they are performing on stage…
and only a few days til we hop on the plane eastward… will be sweet. it will be interesting flying with a toddler on my own, but thankfully, Westjet has satellite TVs in every seat. ;) hopefully, Treehouse is in the lineup lol. going to miss MrBear and Beanorama, but i’m sure they will enjoy the quieter house (well, when there is no hockey on TV… otherwise, i’m sure they will be screaming with full abandon :P).
knitting, yes, i still am. all the time, more than anything else… i just haven’t taken pics. soon, soon. :)
