wanted to share my latest hand-painted adventure…

left is reskeined to see the colours better (and because i like playing with skeins ;))… right skein is still in it’s original, painted form.

already has a purpose… i’m waiting for a little arrival. :) i’m going to be an auntie, sometime today; i’m just basically waiting for the phone to ring. come’on phone… ring

it must be spring… the ice-cream van was patrolling the neighbourhood this morning. :P

well, well… the shop is up. feels a bit like childbirth blues around here, give all the technical, emotional and sleep-deprived time put into getting it live. ;) given that Mercury is still retrograde this week, i’m expecting the possibility of some technical glitches, yet. however, it’s up and i’m soooo happy. :) now i can get down to brass tacks and do what i love to do, which is design and publish. :) and live at a more balanced pace. :P

i have a zillion unpublished things floating around and more still in my head. and i am so itching to do some dyeing.

good timing, too. the weather is sunny, warmish air is wafting about, tulips almost open… time to get out there more and freshen up, take the little guy noodling around the neighbourhood. I will hopefully have a little more time to squeeze that in than i have had over the last few months.

i will also be posting a gallery on OWK, so if you’ve knitted anything from an Oceanwind Knits pattern, let me know so i can include it in the gallery. thanks

whew… looking forward to spring. :)

this is what life is about for me these days… trying to grab a chunk of time to get something productive (for myself!) accomplished. ah well…

when you’re a mommy there are definitely other priorities ahead of self. ;)

have managed to get a few things off the list… two bags for a client, which i will get photos of one of these days… one design preliminary finished (needs sizing) and i am this [] close to launching the OWK shop… finalizing and tweaking.

also, my good friend Deb has a new site live: Sunflowers with Sass … pretty cute, eh? designer digs for your little darlings. i’ve been doing web design for her for quite a few years now.

this is all between the usual bum changing and playing with the little guy… and the big guy has a something going on… hoping it’s a just a bug but he’s been wiped out on the couch since about Monday night with a fever… going to the doc today… and working in the shop, which has been a bit challenging lately. changing gears all the time from room to room and place to place doesn’t leave a lot of brainspace for designing … sigh. oh well! ’tis life.

and of course, with the NHL trade dealine on, it’s been non-stop hockey prospecting around here. ;) i thought Theodore during his news conference had awfully nice hair. don’t you think so too?

and… the WBC is on… not sure i’m ready for baseball yet lol. quite a shift of gears from hockey at this time of year.

also! i got my own room! mrBear announced the other night he thought he would move to the basement. hmm… well i worry about him having to do the stairs all the time with his balance issues, and he gets pretty pooped sometimes… but i got my own room! i have now taken over the office. i have a section for yarn and a section for books and a section for art supplies… it’s heaven. :) i almost want to knit a sign for the door that says ‘no boys allowed’ but somehow i think, in this house, it would be ignored. :P
